The following soup recipe was in high demand by our participants at Tuesday’s seminar at Bethany Memorial Church. Thank you, Karen McFadden, for sharing it, and to Charlotte Chambers and Rev. Scott Thayer for joining her in sharing in the hospitality!

From Financial Ethics and Best Practices
We are grateful to Rev. Dr. Todd Adams for his good work in presenting our seminar (twice) last week, and for sharing his resources here for your use. Financial Ethics Buffalo Seminary w 10 Responsibilities-2 (pdf file) includes the slide with “10 Responsibilities”, which is not included in the Powerpoint slides: Financial Ethics Buffalo Seminary-2. Both are offered for your wise use in the local congregation.
We hope to see many of you at Dr. Bonnie Thurston’s presentation on Resurrection in the Synoptic Gospels in March, so reserve now!
Powerpoint from Feb. Pastoral Care Workshop
This powerpoint presentation was offered by Rev. Wesley Howsare at the Feb. 21-22 Buffalo Seminary workshop on Pastoral Care and Counseling. He provides it for our use, including an added page at the end with additional reading suggestions, for which we are thankful.
Dr. Morgan’s Elders Workshop Presentation
By popular request, Dr. Morgan has graciously agreed to share the Powerpoint presentation he used for the workshop this past weekend, which was such a blessing to many. The file is fairly large (over 7 mb) and the show requires the playing of tracks 4 and 20 of the Eldership Voices CD which you may have on hand. Of course, it works without it – just no sound. I can send you a .wav file to fill those spots, or upon request can supply a CD version of the presentation with the sounds in the bundle (for shipping charges), if you would like to have those on hand. Contact me.
Here’s the Powerpoint: morgan (Right-click and save to your computer in a location easily found. You’ll need MS Powerpoint or a program that can convert it, such as Open Office, in order to view it.)
Trader shares Disciples History charts
The following charts are offered for your edification and enjoyment (and reproduction for non-commercial use). Rev. James Trader, II used these in our Early Disciples History session at the last Summer Clergy Institute and many of us found them helpful. We’re grateful to James for the opportunity to share them. I’m sure he’d welcome your support of the Cane Ridge Meeting House and Shrine, should you desire to offer it!
